Welcome to Truce! Truce is a private, on-device app that counts the days since your last argument — a lighthearted relationship humor and self-reflection streak tracker, guided by its mascot Bicky. To get started, open the app and your day counter begins. Everything you do stays on your device.

There is no account and no sign-in — just open the app and start your streak.

Is my data private?

Yes. All of your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync. Truce operates no server or backend, makes no network requests to collect or transmit your data, and includes no analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs. Truce also requests no access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data.

How do I share a streak or a duel?

When you choose to share a streak or start a "Truce Code" duel, the app generates a link of the form kuthaygumus.github.io/truce/vs?… that encodes only the data you chose to share. The web page that renders a shared duel decodes that link in your browser (client-side only) — no server receives or stores it. Where you send the link, and to whom, is entirely your choice.

How do I restore a backup?

Truce offers an optional encrypted .truce backup that you protect with a password and save wherever you choose (for example, the Files app or your own iCloud Drive at your discretion). To restore, open the exported .truce file from within the app and enter the password you set when you created it. Truce does not manage or upload your backup file — it stays under your control at all times.

Where is the in-app text generated?

Any text the app generates is produced on your device using Apple Intelligence / an on-device model. Nothing is sent to a server, so this works privately and does not require a network connection.

How do I restore my purchases?

In-app purchases go through Apple's StoreKit, and Apple processes the payment — Truce never sees your payment details. If you reinstall the app or set up a new device, open the app and use the Restore Purchases option to recover purchases tied to your Apple ID. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
