Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Truce application ("the app"). By downloading, installing, or using Truce, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

License and Use

Truce grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA shall govern.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use Truce and accept these Terms. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Description of Service

Truce is a humorous entertainment application: a single-user counter for the days since you last argued with your partner (or anyone else you choose), narrated by Bicky, a fictional lovebird. It runs entirely on your device. It requires no account, has no social network or messaging, and sends none of your data off the device.

Purchases and Pricing

Truce has no subscriptions. The core app — the counter, the reset, basic sharing — is free forever. Optional one-time unlocks and consumables are available:

Prices shown are in U.S. dollars. Actual prices may vary by country and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase in the App Store. Prices are subject to change; any change applies only to future purchases.

No Subscriptions, No Auto-Renewal

Truce does not offer subscriptions and never charges you on a recurring basis. Every purchase is a single, one-time transaction (or a consumable you choose to buy again). There is no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel.

Free Full-Access Preview

Truce may offer a one-time, time-limited free preview of its premium features. The preview is completely free, requires no payment method, and does not auto-renew or convert into a paid plan. When the preview period ends, the app simply returns to its free core — you are never charged automatically. Eligibility for a preview is determined by Apple and may be limited to one per Apple ID.

Truce Forever (Lifetime Unlock)

Truce Forever is a one-time, non-recurring purchase that grants access to its premium features for the operational lifetime of the application's availability on the App Store. "Forever" refers to the operational life of the app, not the lifetime of the purchaser. In the event that Truce is permanently removed from the App Store, Truce Forever will remain functional on devices where it has already been installed and activated.

Consumables (Reset Freeze & Tips)

Reset Freeze and Tips are consumable purchases: they are applied or consumed within the app at the time of use and are not restored on a new device or reinstall. Once a consumable has been used, it is non-refundable. Reset Freeze is purely cosmetic and optional; it never gates the free core of the app.

Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple, Inc. through your Apple ID. We do not have access to your payment information. To request a refund for any purchase, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. We are unable to process refunds directly.

Your Content and Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the app, including incident entries, reasons, streak history, and preferences. All of it lives on your device; we never receive it. Any encrypted backup file you create is protected by a passphrase that only you hold — if you lose that passphrase, the backup cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining your own backups.

Its jokes are about the streak and the situation, never a judgment of you or anyone in your life. If you are experiencing genuine distress or a relationship in difficulty, please seek the guidance of a qualified professional. If you have or suspect an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, comedic writing, and the Bicky character of Truce are the property of the developer and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the app without prior written permission. Share cards generated by the app for your personal use are excepted, so long as the in-card branding is left intact.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app or its related systems
• Use the app or its share features to harass, abuse, or harm another person

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of or inability to access or use the app.

In any event, the developer's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the app shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to the developer through the App Store in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ten U.S. dollars ($10.00), whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the Terms were last modified. Your continued use of Truce after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the app.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey. Nothing in these Terms shall deprive consumers of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence, including but not limited to consumer protection rights under EU, UK, or other applicable law.

General Provisions

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Standard EULA and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the use of Truce, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

Waiver. The failure of the developer to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by the developer to be effective.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without the developer's prior written consent. The developer may assign these Terms without restriction.
