Privacy Policy

Bloomind ("we," "us," or "the app") is a breathing and meditation application for iOS developed by Kuthay Gumus ("the developer"), designed to help you build a breathing practice through guided exercises and a garden that grows with your sessions. The developer is the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy describes what information Bloomind accesses, how that information is handled, and the choices available to you.

Information We Do Not Collect

Bloomind does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to any server owned or operated by us. The app contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use fingerprinting or any form of user identification. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data. We do not sell, share, or rent user data to any third party.

Data You Provide

Bloomind collects only the data you explicitly create through using the app. This may include:

• Breathing session records (technique used, duration, completion status)
• Mood entries recorded before and after sessions — wellness data, see below
• Garden and plant growth progress
• Streak and achievement data
• App preferences and settings

All of this data is generated through your use of the app. We do not collect any data automatically.

Wellness and Mood Data

Bloomind allows you to record mood entries before and after breathing sessions. Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR Article 9), data related to mental well-being may be classified as special category / sensitive personal data that requires additional protection.

This data is processed solely on the basis of your explicit consent, demonstrated by your voluntary decision to record it. This data is stored exclusively on your device (and in your private iCloud container if sync is enabled). We never have access to, process, or transmit this data. You may delete any mood record at any time from within the app.

On-Device Data

All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your session history, garden progress, mood entries, preferences, and app settings remain on your device and are not accessible to us. We do not operate our own servers or databases. Your data never touches our infrastructure.

iCloud Sync

If iCloud is enabled on your device, Bloomind may sync your app data across your Apple devices through your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit. This data is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. We do not have the ability to access, read, or modify your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs iCloud storage and transmission.

Data synced through iCloud may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence in accordance with Apple's data handling practices.

Apple HealthKit

With your explicit prior consent, Bloomind may write Mindful Session entries to Apple HealthKit. This access is write-only — Bloomind does not read, query, or access any existing health data from HealthKit.

All HealthKit data remains on your device (or in your private Health data store if you use iCloud for Health). Bloomind does not use HealthKit data for advertising, data mining, or any purpose other than recording your breathing sessions. This is in full compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Apple Watch

Bloomind includes an optional Apple Watch companion app. Data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication occurs directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external servers. We do not have access to data transferred between your devices.

Widgets and Live Activities

Bloomind offers Home Screen widgets and Live Activities (Dynamic Island) to display breathing guidance and streak data. Widget data is shared between the main app and widget extension using a local App Group container on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

In-App Purchases

Bloomind offers optional premium features through subscriptions and a one-time purchase, managed entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not receive, process, or store your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. All transaction data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, KVKK, and equivalent data protection regulations, data processing requires a legal basis. Bloomind's legal basis for processing your data is:

• Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): You voluntarily create all data through your use of the app. No data is collected without your active participation.
• Explicit consent for wellness data (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)): Mood entries are recorded at your sole discretion. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the data.
• Contract performance (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)): Processing is necessary to provide the app's core functionality (storing and displaying the data you create).

Data Retention and Deletion

Because Bloomind does not collect data on external servers, there is no user data for us to retain. All app data stored on your device can be deleted at any time by:

• Deleting individual sessions, mood entries, or all data from within the app
• Deleting the app from your device (removes all locally stored data)
• Managing your iCloud storage through your device's Settings (if sync is enabled)

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including but not limited to rights under the GDPR, CCPA, KVKK, and equivalent regulations), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, as well as the right to restrict or object to certain processing. Because Bloomind does not collect personal data on external servers, these rights are effectively exercised through your device and iCloud settings. Children's Privacy

Bloomind does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). The app does not require account creation, login credentials, or personal data input of any kind. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of Bloomind after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
