Privacy Policy

Bebito ("we," "us," or "the app") is a baby tracking application for iOS developed by Kuthay Gumus ("the developer"), designed to help parents and caregivers log and monitor their baby's daily activities. The developer is the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws. This Privacy Policy describes what information Bebito accesses, how that information is handled, and the choices available to you.

Information We Do Not Collect

Bebito does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to any server owned or operated by us. The app contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use fingerprinting or any form of user identification. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data. We do not sell, share, or rent user data to any third party.

Data You Provide

Bebito collects only the data you explicitly enter into the app. This may include:

• Baby profiles (name, birth date, gender)
• Feeding logs (type, duration, amount, side)
• Sleep logs (start time, end time)
• Diaper change logs (type, notes, optional photo)
• Growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference)
• Milestone records (description, date, optional photo)
• Health records (mood entries, temperature, medications, vaccine records, doctor visits, allergies) — sensitive data, see below
• Caregiver name
• Photos you attach to events or baby profiles

All of this data is entered voluntarily by you. We do not collect any data automatically.

Sensitive and Health-Related Data

Bebito allows you to record health-related information about your child, including body temperature, medications, vaccine records, doctor visits, allergies, and mood entries. Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR Article 9), health data is classified as special category / sensitive personal data that requires additional protection.

This sensitive data is processed solely on the basis of your explicit consent, demonstrated by your voluntary decision to enter it into the app. This data is stored exclusively on your device (and in your private iCloud container if sync is enabled). We never have access to, process, or transmit this data. You may delete any health record at any time from within the app.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, KVKK, and equivalent data protection regulations, data processing requires a legal basis. Bebito's legal basis for processing your data is:

• Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): You voluntarily choose to enter all data into the app. No data is collected without your active input.
• Explicit consent for sensitive data (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)): Health-related data is entered at your sole discretion. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the data.
• Contract performance (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)): Processing is necessary to provide the app's core functionality (storing and displaying the data you enter).

On-Device Data

All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your baby's information, event logs, preferences, and app settings remain on your device and are not accessible to us. We do not operate our own servers or databases. Your data never touches our infrastructure.

iCloud Sync

If you are a Bebito Pro subscriber and iCloud is enabled on your device, Bebito may sync your app data across your Apple devices through your private iCloud container using Apple's CloudKit. This data is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. We do not have the ability to access, read, or modify your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs iCloud storage and transmission.

Data synced through iCloud may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence in accordance with Apple's data handling practices.

Photos

Photos you attach to milestones, diaper events, or baby profiles are stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account (if sync is enabled). We do not access, process, upload, or transmit your photos to any external service. Photos are used exclusively within the app for display purposes and remain entirely under your control.

Apple Watch

Bebito includes an optional Apple Watch companion app. Data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication occurs directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external servers. We do not have access to data transferred between your devices.

Widgets and Live Activities

Bebito offers Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, and Live Activities (Dynamic Island) to display your baby's recent activity data. Widget data is shared between the main app and widget extension using a local App Group container on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Notifications

With your explicit consent, Bebito may send local notifications to remind you about feeding schedules, sleep patterns, and vaccine appointments. All notification scheduling is performed locally on your device. We do not use push notification services, and no notification data is transmitted to external servers.

Data Export and Sharing

Bebito allows you to export your data as PDF reports or CSV files, and to share daily summary images. These exports are generated locally on your device. We do not receive, intercept, or store any data you choose to export or share. How you distribute exported data is your responsibility.

In-App Purchases

Bebito offers optional premium features through subscriptions and a one-time purchase, managed entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not receive, process, or store your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. All transaction data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because Bebito does not collect data on external servers, there is no user data for us to retain. All app data stored on your device can be deleted at any time by:

• Deleting individual events, baby profiles, or all data from within the app
• Deleting the app from your device (removes all locally stored data)
• Managing your iCloud storage through your device's Settings (if sync is enabled)

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including but not limited to rights under the GDPR, CCPA, KVKK, and equivalent regulations), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, as well as the right to restrict or object to certain processing. Because Bebito does not collect personal data on external servers, these rights are effectively exercised through your device and iCloud settings. Children's Privacy

Bebito is designed for parents and caregivers to track their children's activities. The app does not collect data directly from children. All data is entered by the parent or caregiver. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), GDPR-K (Article 8), and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions. Since we do not collect, store, or transmit data to our servers, children's data remains entirely under parental control on the device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you of material changes through the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of Bebito after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
